Oxford City PoliceEdit
It is unknown exactly when Thursday made the move from London to Oxford, but he is shown to be already at the rank of Detective Inspector at the start of the Inspector Morse prequal, Endeavour. Thursday first meets Morse, and convinces Morse to move from Carshall-Newtown to Oxford City Police after the removal of a corrupt Detective Sergeant.
Fred Thursday married his wife, Win, in 1941. They then proceeded to have two children, Sam and Joan, who are portrayed as being in their early twenties in the series Endeavour.
